Vehicle Portal Radiation Monitoring and Detection Systems

All vehicle systems can be set up over a weighbridge (in and/or out), alongside roads and over rail tracks, automatically scanning the load for any increase in radiation above the normal background count, and alert the operator if radiation is detected. Single detectors can also be suspended over conveyors to scan material.

There are four products within this category: RC2W34-2, RC2000, RC4000 (all using PVT technolgy) and the RC5000/7000 NeuSpec crystal system (for more accurate isotopic detection), facilitating many possible applications.

Each system can have difference areas of coverage and number of PMT’s (Photo Multiplier Tubes); small trucks may only require a 34 litre system, whilst larger lorries passing through would benefit from a 138 litre system. Each is facilitated by a RadLink computer.
